Pure Heroine ( 2013 Lorde Album)

Dear Entertainment Diary,

There's this new artist that is taking up on the music scene just recently who can write, sing, and make incredibly addictive music.  Her name is Lorde and I think she's one of the most talented individual out there when it comes to music.

I feel ashamed as to how I cannot update my blog these past few months due to internet loss and I regret on not having posts in here about Miley's recent album, Bangerz. I mean I waited for it but when it was released, I cannot post about it although I'm still listening to it and damn, her songs are great.

Moving on, I'm here to post about Lorde's album in which I am currently listening to. Pure Heroine is probably one of the albums that I cannot forget to listen to everyday. I just love how addicting the songs are and as I'm typing this, Glory and Gore is playing inside my HEAD!

I knew about Lorde when I heard her debut single, Royals, a song that contains simple words and simple instrumentals that includes different types of vocals/secondary voices. I'm talking about "Baby I'll rule, I'll rule, I'll rule, I'll rule".

The song is just genius. It was, I'm not sure at the moment if it still is, at the #1 Billboard Hot 100. The last time I checked, it spent 9 weeks on being #1. Well, it was well-deserved. The song is pretty addictive, very simple, and very nice to sing.

Then another song, Tennis Court. My favorite lines of this song were, "Baby be the class clown, and I'll be beuty queen in tears. It's a new art form showing people how little we care."
I love how she can write such words and turn it to songs to express what she really wants to say. What really are the things running through her head.

400 Lux is one of my favorite songs actually. Her voice is like mixing vulnerability and strength that when combined, it's like listening to her speaking/telling a story when she was singing. It's like she's restraining her voice to be husky but it was so powerful, she released it great. The song for me, is liking same things and not wanting change to interfere so everything will stay the same. "I like this roads where the houses won't change." "We're never done with killing time, got a lot to not do, let me kill it with you."

Ribs and Buzzcut Season were also great songs but I think Ribs overpowered Buzzcut Season just a little. It's because I fell in love with its lyrics:

You're the only friend I need (you're the only friend I need)
Sharing beds like little kids (sharing beds like little kids)
We'll laugh until our ribs get tough (we'll laugh until our ribs get tough)
But that will never be enough (but that will never be enough).

While Buzzcut Season, I think is about news. Haha.  Well she described the lyrics trying to remain "in blissful ignorance to the crumbling world trying to permeate through news broadcasts." Thanks WIKI.

Team and Glory and Gore are actually the two of the top five songs that I certainly love in the album. The other three are Royals, 400 Lux, and Tennis Court. (In order).

Team is my most favorite because of its meaning, mainly the words in its chorus. I love how she really likes living in her city, which is not that famous, but the people living there are all united and in each other's Team. I also love how she grew tired of hearing "Put your hands up in the air" in so many songs. You see what I'm talking about? She really writes what she actually wants to say, no matter how small it is, she can make it huge. Enormous. Gigantic.

She actually just released her music video of Team, in which she said was inspired by a dream she had where the world is being ruled by a guy with acne on his face, I think? That's what I remembered from what she wrote on her facebook. Correct me if I'm wrong.  :)

Glory and Gore reminds me of The Hunger Games. I think it suits to be its theme song. But, I think what I see in this song is like, how she wants to dominate the music industry, where someone's gotta go, meaning she'll replace that someone and they are gonna win. I love how she pictured death as loosing. My favorite lines were

"We gladiate but I guess we're really fighting ourselves.
Roughing up our minds so we're ready when the kill time comes"

She really knows what she's talking about.

Speaking of the Hunger Games, it's sequel Catching Fire, she also sang one of the theme songs in its album, Everybody Wants To Rule The World, which she gave her own style and rendition.

Still Sane, White Teeth Teens, and A World Alone are probably the 3 least favorite songs of mine in her album. Maybe because they're found in the last part of the album. Although I love Still Sane's lyrics. It's telling us how she cannot do her usual teenage things right now cause it's all work all day but she's telling us that she's not succumbing to the power of fame and will be still sane until the end, I think.

So that's it. That's what I think about Lorde's simple but geniusly well-witten and addictive album. I'm actually listening to it everyday and till now, I'm still hungry for more. There's the Extended Edition of her album but I haven't got a copy of it yet. So, let's support this very talented girl! I actually love how she performs live with her unique hand gestures and facial expressions but what the heck? She's still Lorde. :)

Sword Art Online ( 2012 Anime )

Dear Entertainment Diary,

So, this is the continuation of my previous post about Accel World where I mentioned there were 2 animes that I just recently watched. This was supposed to be included in that post but I decided to separate this in a new post, and here it is.

OK. So Sword Art Online aka SAO, is probably can be considered as one of the most genius animes the world has ever seen. This is my opinion, tho.

Why? Because I just love the part where Virtual world and the real world became one unlike in Accel World where there are only some parts that they can adjust their own movements in the real world while beinig accelerated, but in this anime, Lives are at stake and many of them, I'm talking about almost half of 10,000 SAO players, died! Cruel, isn't it?

It's just genius! The anime series contains 2 arcs from the virtual novel, The Sword Art Online Arc and Alfheim Online Arc.

The first half of the series centers around the game Sword Art Online, a VRMMORPG that can be played using a Nerve Gear. During the first time the 10,000 SAO players logged in, they were sent in the game but cannot log out when they wanted to. They were then given a task by the creator of the game, Akihiko Kayaba, to reach all the 100 floors of the floating castle by  defeating the virtual monsters and each boss on each level. But there is a catch, you must not die in the game or else, you will also die in the real world.

The first part centers around Kirito (Kirigaya Kazuto), him being a Beater (a beta tester - cheater), on how he leveled up, attempt to save his friends in the game but drastically failed, meeting his one and only true love, Asuna (Yuuki Asuna), and on how he will defeat the game.

The second half of the series revolves around the new game, Alfheim Online, which is connected in the previous game. The story now includes his sister, and on how both of them, along with the other players defeat the game. (I wanna mention more plots about this anime as I can still remember the whole story because I just finished watching it yesterday but I don't wanna spoil the surprises.)

All I can say is that the story revolving the whole series is just so good including the twists. The action and the awesomeness of the characters are quite good, the bad guys are very convincing, but what I don't like about the second part is that the lightning fast Asuna's fighting skills were taken out and became a princess waiting to be rescued up above. I mean, her awesomeness in fighting is one of the best parts in the series but in the end, she was just some, I don't know, a bird without wings inside a cage, I guess?

Anyways, the whole series is just so good to watch and you can even feel the feelings of each characters while watching it! And 'm talking about Sachi, as her part is one of the most emotional i the series. I love how realistic the story when it was all about having friends and romantic relationships in online games!

This is unlike Accel World which is all about robotic types of avatars. The first part uses their own image in the game while in the second part, their avatars were in fairy forms. It falls in 8 out of 10 scale for me. :)

The only part that I didn't like was the part where the camera focuses on the female characters' bo*bies and such parts. It's not that pervy but it's not that needed as well in the anime.

Accel World (2012 Anime)

Dear Entertainment Diary,

So yeah, I'm here again, fortunately. This post is about the two Animes I just previously watched this past days, it was actually just last week, but I think I'll separate the two.

Anyways, the first one that I watched was Accel World.

Accel World.

This actually intrigued me as to why so many Otakus love them. Truth be told, I'm not a big fan of animes with large robots like Gundam and stuff. Cyberpunk type of animes, that is. I'm not into robots, although during my childhood days, I have watched Voltes 5, and that certain anime that I cant remember the title.

So, Accel World is one of the animes that caught my attention because this is the first time I have watched an anime that the main character is not that good looking. That actually shocked me. Yeah, there are so many animes that the main protags are jerks, or losers, but they were either tall, good-looking, slim, handsome, strong, and all but this was first to me. The story revolves around Haruyuki Arita, a small, roundly fat boy who is always being bullied by his classmates or schoolmates. Weird right? Mostly, those descriptions always end up being on the minor characters like the best buds of the protagonists.

He has 2 bestfriends, actually, hot bestfriends, the hot and very lovingly caring Chiyuri Kurashima and her boyfriend, Takumu Mayuzumi, who is very hot as well, and intelligent. So, in this anime, it also involves a female protag who is probably the prettiest in the series and who also happens to be in love with our hero, Kuroyukihime (Black Snow Princess).

To sum everything all up, this anime is about Accel World (Acclerated World), which is also in the same world as where we were standing/living but being controlled by a game program entitled, Brain Burst.

By using Brain Burst, your body will be accelerated in which you can go around freely using your avatar and the whole normal world becomes slower. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think 1 second in the real world = 17 minutes in Accel World?

The main objective of the game is to reach level ten by defeating the Six Kings of Pure colors, though I'm not so sure if Black is still included. And when you reach level 10, you can meet the creator of Bran Burst and know his purpose as to why he created a very awesomely addicting but also harsh kind of game. You can level upto level 9 by collecting Burst Points if you can defeat other players in Accel World and sometimes, haunt some monsters which gives you small amount of points.

For me, this anime is very addictive to watch as I wanna know what will happen next. The action scenes were great, as well. It hooks me up as I only finished watching it in two days.Well, it's just 24 episodes + 1 ova. And  haven't watched the other OVA yet.

If you're into action type anime, then Accel World is kind of perfect for you to watch. t's just that I kind of hated some characters for being so bad, nosy, and especially the Haru-kun for being such a loser! But I think that's what the creators want us to feel. The main antag in the series actually pisses me off, meaning he's being great on being such an evil person.

This is not just about action. Friendship, Love/Romance, and Slice of Life are also included in the series. For me it's good and may landed a 7 out of 10.  hope there's gonna be a second season.

Dame, I promise myself to lmit my post but I just can't help it. Another lengthy post. :(

Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni ( 2006 Anime )

Images courtesy of whentheycry.wikia.com

Dear Entertainment Diary,

What's UP???! Sorry for not updating you for the longest time, TWO FREAKING WEEKS, so far. Can't update cause I lost up my internet connection. Sad. But I'm still watching a lot of anime series lately. Been loving every piece of those anime videos I downloaded with all my might during my free time especially during midnight onwards.

This post is about one of those animes I have watched probably last two months ago, which also became one of my top favorite animes so far.

I'm sure a lot of you already heard this anime. It actually is a remake or should I say, adaptation, of a very famous Visual Novel, of th same name.

Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni also known as When They Cry/ When The Cicadas Cry is probably one of the best animes ever existed. Why? Because it got all the kinds of genre a person can ever want to watch in an anime series. Comedy, Horror, Psychological, Killing spree and Gore, Drama, Family, Slice of Life, Mystery, Fantasy. Need to say more?

I actually like how the creator of this visual game have written and made this masterpiece. He started of introducing the Characters and the Settings at first, then as we know what we all need to know about the anime, well, what we PRIMARILY NEED TO KNOW, then, he just shocked us with this horrible events that are going to make up the plot and mystery of th story. Harsh isn't it? Just when we started to love the characters, the tragedy happens. Well, it's kind of a genius actually. It just came off unexpected, that is if you haven't read any spoiler before watching it.

Another I like about this anime is that, there were so many events happen in just the same time. The writer never ran out of ideas and all of the shockers came unexpected until the end.Who the culprit was? Why they are doing it? What is their past? Etc. All of it just came shocking us, unbelievable but happy endings, who should date who? and many more.

It's just one of the best. Wait. I said it already.

Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni is the first pary of the series and contains all the Question arcs, containing 6 Chapters. In other words, there are a lot of questions here and will never be answered even if you finish watching the whole series. Don't worry, this anime is so good and actually got high ratings and praises, it got its second season, Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Kai, which contains the Answer arcs that answers everything regarding to all the happenings in the first series.

The series is all about the curse, traditions, people, and events regarding the village of Hinamizawa. The story focuses Keiichi Maebara, who just transferred from Tokyo to start his new life after "the incident" happened to him and just wanted to forget it, and his newly found friends Rena Ryuugu, Mion and Shion Sonozaki, Satoko Houjo, and Rika Furude.

The characters were drawn cute and believable, it's just so unbelievable that they can do those horrendously terrifying things just because of this so-called disease and stuff.

Overall, this anime is one of the best (not again?). LOL. Well it's the truth anyways so just watch it and be amazed. Of course, at first you'll all be like "What the?" What just happened? Why the hell did they do that? Why him? Why her?Why is the autopsy says she died the before the Watanagashi festival when we saw her walking there? (OOOOPPSSS SPOILER) I think I must stop right now.

Images courtesy of www.fanpop.com

I advice you to watch everything about this series and believe me, you will be satisfied and amazed on just how what we thought the many different stories tangled up and put up together in such a way we understand the things we desperately want to know.

P.S. When the Title and ending credits roll. Do not, I mean, DO NOT, forward it cause the 2 ost's are too good to be skipped. Both are very good catchy songs that will run around your mind for a couple of weeks! Believe me, I even made a cover of the endinig OST "Why, Why Not". :)

Miley Cyrus Bares all in New Video, Wrecking Ball

Dear Entertainment Diary,

So here I am, updating you again about Miley's newest video, Wrecking Ball. I'm actually updating using my tablet and I hate it cuz it's hard and it keeps on hanging.

I can't even see what am I typing right now so sorry for some typos and stuff.

Anyways, after the VMA incident regarding Miley's performance, a lot has been questioning her personality and that is just rude.  I mean, they are saying she changed a lot and wants to grow up easily. Who cares? Just let her do what she wants.

And now, in this video, Miley did what she wants, to be bare naked and lemme tell you, she is damn sexy and hot!

Yet again, a lot has been questioning her regarding being nude in a video while in fact, many artists did it already.

For me, this is her most emotional video to date. This video contains more than nudity. It has her emotions that made me wanna cry while watching it and I did not felt anything greenish while watching it. It's like art. She was just like Rose being painted nude by Jack in the Film Titanic. It's for artistic passion.

Say what you all want but I'll keep on supporting my queen no matter what. Let's break the Vevo record by the way!

Watch it now!!!!

UPDATE:

DAAAMMMMNNN! Our queen just regained the record for Vevo's Most viewed video in 24 hours with 19+ million. The video is currently has 90 million views and its oin its way to gain 100 million views which is also a new record, well, she has the record for the video with fastest 100 million views anyways. And now she's gonna set her first number 1 in single in Billboard's Hot 100 so let's go help her make it, Smilers!

Wrecking Ball (Miley Cyrus 2013 Song)

Dear Entertainment Diary,

I'm very sorry for not updating you. I have watched so many animes (finished them already, the whole series btw, and I even caught up with Naruto Shippuden's latest episode but I'm not here to update about that)

So, Miley finally revealed the title of her upcoming and very grown up-anticipated album, #Bangerz. I think because it's all about head banging and stuff. Or the other greenish meaning "bang". HAHAHA. Just kidding.

If we all thought that We Can't Stop is a very good song from the singer-actress, well, Wrecking Ball is such a very powerful rock ballad that contains her emotions about being wrecked by someone she likes when in fact, she wanted to break the wall of the person in the first place, I guess?, and it will definitely blow you away. It also keeps me going back to or reminds me of some old Chinese songs and some 80's stuff.

This is such a very sad and emotional song coming from her when in fact, I thought all her new songs are gonna be hiphop or songs that are very upbeat. I just can't over this song especially when it's been so long since I last heard a ballad from Miley. When I Look At You is on of her best and I think this song surpassed it, in my opinion. I just hope #WreckingBall also do well in the charts.

And as I always say, her voice is so cool.Cooler than before. Even us listeners can feel her emotions while singing her feelings out in this song that's all about fighting for it until the end, fighting for the love that she wants to keep alive, but apparently, things didn't quite work out, and she looses in the end.

Base from the 2 latest songs from Miley, I think her album will gonna be an album with full of many emotions, gonna be successful, and let's take it to the top when they release it on October 8!

LYRICS:
[Verse 1]
We clawed, we chained our hearts in vain
We jumped, never asking why
We kissed, I fell under your spell
A love no one could deny

[Pre-Chorus]
Don’t you ever say I just walked away
I will always want you
I can’t live a lie, running for my life
I will always want you

[Chorus]
I came in like a wrecking ball
I never hit so hard in love
All I wanted was to break your walls
All you ever did was wreck me
Yeah, you, you wreck me

[Verse 2]
I put you high up in the sky
And now, you’re not coming down
It slowly turned, you let me burn
And now, we’re ashes on the ground

[Pre-Chorus]
Don’t you ever say I just walked away
I will always want you
I can’t live a lie, running for my life
I will always want you

[Chorus]
I came in like a wrecking ball, I never hit so hard in love
All I wanted was to break your walls
All you ever did was wreck me
I came in like a wrecking ball
Yeah, I just closed my eyes and swung
Left me crouching in a blaze and fall
All you ever did was wreck me
Yeah, you wreck me

[Bridge]
I never meant to start a war
I just wanted you to let me in
And instead of using force
I guess I should’ve let you in
I never meant to start a war
I just wanted you to let me in
I guess I should’ve let you in

Don’t you ever say I just walked away
I will always want you

[Chorus]
I came in like a wrecking ball, I never hit so hard in love
All I wanted was to break your walls
All you ever did was wreck me
I came in like a wrecking ball
Yeah, I just closed my eyes and swung
Left me crouching in a blaze and fall
All you ever did was wreck me
Yeah, you wreck me

I read that if you pre-ordered the album, you'll get "Wrecking Ball" for free!

RED MV by Taylor Swift

Dear Entertainment Diary,

I am so happy when the Music video for Tay-tay's song, Red, which also serves as her album's title, finally saw the light of day but when I saw that it was a concert video, (like Sparks Fly, and Fearless), my adrenaline just came down. It'\s just that Red is one of the songs that I like the most fro her latest album and it also one of the songs that has very deep meaning and emotions.

But when I watched it, I just felt I want to rush to Taylor's Red Tour as it is magically awesome and we can see her totally rockin' it out on the stage and giving her best. Damn, this video is great and lucky are those who already saw her perform in her Red tour! If only I can watch it. :(

Fall in love and adore the kids, rather :)

The Voice of The Philippines ( 2013 Reality Talent Search Competition)

Dear Entertainment Diary,

Happy 100th post!

So, I am a big fan of The Voice US. I love everything about that reality TV Talent search especially when it comes to the coaches/judges/mentors! Adam, Blake, Christina, and Cee Lo started it off, then the 2 in the latter were now replaced by Shakira and Usher, respectively, but I think in Season 5 they will be back.

Moving on. It's been so long ago that the Kapamilya network announced about their franchise of the show and I got excited! I got more hyped when one of my favorite blogs, Fashion PULIS, let his readers know who are the judges going to be and they are all very famous and talented whet it comes to music! They are not just what they called so-so. Let me begin with my Idol Lea Salonga ("The voice that conquered the world"), then Apl de Ap ("The voice that ruled the worldwide music chart"), Sarah G. ("The voice that captured our hearts") and Bamboooooo ("The voice that rocked our world") ! Yeah! Who wouldn't b excited?

But months ago, FP also revealed/compared the set/stage of The Voice Philippines from the other 2 more The Voice franchises here also in Asia. I think Thailand is the one and I just forgot the other one. Hongkong perhaps?

Based on what I've seen at that time, the two other franchises were more HIGH TECH compared to our country's franchise. And what more, it is a far cry from The Voice US's set/stage! Aside from its set, there were also some rumors/blind items about the show which lessen my excitement. But, Bad publicity is still publicity.

So tonight, The Voice of the Philippines finally debuted its Pilot episode and I was disappointed about the set! Really disappointed because it is one of the features that I love on The Voice US. The chairs were turning slowly. I don't know, 10 seconds before the judge can face the contestant? Just Kidding! But it was really slow.

BUT, the judges blew away my disappointment especially Lea Salonga! I love her energy! There came to a point where I think she's being OA but she's just so cute and adorable to hate! I really love her so much and we can see how she really want to be a mentor in this competition and she's aiming to be the first mentor to win. Bamboo is just mild but his words were very nice, real, and has meanings. What he said were inspiring and colorful especially the part where he said, "We'll play around" HAHAHA. Apl is genuine in his words although I didn't like his outfit but he is being real. He can relate to the contestants who come from poor families! Sarah G, is just so honest in her words! She's being real but I think she is just too polite, saying PO or OPO all the time. Ms Laida Magtalas, I mean, Mrs. Montenegro, You need to be  Rayver, I mean, BRAVER. BOLDER. FIERCER.

So to sum the pilot episode, IT'S GOOD and PROMISING. I love it but not 100%. I probably will watch more episodes of it but I hope I can still see the judges being hyper, honest, and professional!

I hope it won't be scripted just to gain attraction or won't be a charity case as what happened to some of  the reality search here in the Philippines! I hope they stay true and find the one of the Best Voices of the Philippines!

We Can't Stop by Miley Cyrus (2013 Song)

Dear entertainment Diary,

Yes! Finally, my goddess, Miley Cyrus, finally let her fans hear her latest single after 3 years! Everyone knows she was very busy lending her voice to many of the songs of the many talented male singers out there including Will.I.Am and Snoop Lion. Man! I know that this song, We Can't Stop, is very far from her former pop rock songs and more adult than her previous songs in her album especially during her Disney/Hannah Montana days as she embraces a new genre, urban and a lot more R&B.

For me, the song is not a typical song to be a single but as of now, it's proving itself on the charts and I hope it'll debut this week on top! Anyways, as I said, it's not a typical song for a single but as a comeback song, it's fine. The beats are there and the voice is still kickin' and larger than her usual voice. I just don't know what to do while listening to the song; should I dance because of its beat and meaningful lyrics about life or should I cry because if the drama that is accompanying Miley's voice and dramatically played piano notes.

There is quite a stir all over the internet since the song was heard that the lyrics were pertaining about drugs but the producers already denied it and I, as well, can't see anything about it on the lyrics. I'm singing the words as Miley, not MOLLY, thank you very much.

Literally speaking, the lyrics is about doing what we want when we are in a party but as I understand it, I can see as I dug deeper that it is about life. Like no one should care about the things we are doing as long as it is right!

Go download it on iTunes people and can't wat for the music video!

Would You Rather (2012 Film)

Dear Entertainment Diary,

I really liked, not that loved, Brittany Snow ever since I saw her on John Tucker Must Die, which is the first of her films that I have seen. I'm not that much of a fan but I saw Prom Night, The Pacifier, Pitch Perfect, and the most recent, Would You Rather.

OK. So I loved this film. I don't know if it is considered as a horror film but I really loved it! The acting and the plot are superb. The actors, the twists, and most of all, I loved how it is not based from a book/novel, nor a remake, but is based from a Party Game!

I've seen films that contain crueler or many torture/pain but this stand out, for me, although it is not that gory as the Saw Series or many other torture porn scattered in the movie industry.

I love how Brittany acted as a very lovely, simple girl that will do anything for her brother. The plot revolves around her, on how low can she be when it comes to saving her brother.

The game is very simple; the host will give the players 2 options per level and as the level goes up, and the players are still playing or not yet eliminated, the options get harder and harder. The rules are simple but the things they must accomplish aren't. There also comes to a point where they need to choose who to suffer, themselves or others.

I've watched films with the same genre; survival/death game, but as I said, this one stood out because of the twists and turns and stuff. Because it also contains a story. A dramatic plot. Suspense. Thrills.

It's very worth watching.

Some questions were on my mind as I began watching the film. Will his brother survive in the end and how low can she go? Will she be able to commit crimes against her will or will she do it just to get what she thinks that will give her brother a chance to live longer? Will she find true love?

And I'm very satisfied with the answers given at the end of the film. I was actually shocked cus I did not expect such scenes, so, GOO JOB!

I encourage you all to watch the film and be amazed, thrilled, and be filled with tension and suspense because this is not the kind of torture film that we are watching nowadays, but a very silent and dark flm with superb acting, good plot, shocking scenes, annoying characters, and bittersweet ending.

Pitch Perfect ( 2012 Film)

Dear Entertainment Diary,

Long time, no post. Sorry for that as I was busy this past month and didn't get to update entertainment stuff like Demi's Heart Attack video, Selenas's Come and Get It video, and many more that I have watched or seen. I've seen a lot of films lately but I didn't have internet connection and I was busy serving and entertaining my relatives who just came back from other country. I was also busy going back and forth to Manila and I wish I'll never do it again. UGHHHHH.

Moving On, Pitch Perfect is only one of the movies that I have watched and I should not let this movie slip here in my blog as this is the most laughing stock/funniest film I have watched in AGES.

I've known about the film since last year when I saw it in the top 100 Best films on Itunes. I was actually going to download it that day but I downloaded another horror film, which I haven't yet watched. And this March, I was gong to download it again but my brother told me that he already has a copy given by our cousin who also loved the film that much. I mean, who wouldn't? It's musical/comedy. We dig these kind of stuff.

Pitch Perfect is just funny as hell kind of movie that even the corniest jokes in the film can make the viewers laugh (which means it's not corny anymore). What makes me love the film more is that it contains music and features song that I also love. The actors are all good especially Rebel Wilson who is one of the play makers in the films. The song choices, how they mashed it all up and made it their own were just superb and fantastically stunning.

The plot revolves around Beca, a newly arrived freshman at Barden University, on how she managed to cope up with the Pitches (B*tches) when all she really wanted (at first) is to be a DJ and create her own sounds and pursue her own music career. The movie also tells the story of an all female A Capella group called The Barden Bellas on how they sing their hearts out and not let their fears, tensions, and having sex with their male rivals take over.

I've got to tell you, this film is worth watching.

As of now, I really can't wait for the sequel. I actually did not recognize Brittany Snow here, as well as I didn't expect that she has a voice! :)

Fall Down by Will.I.Am ft Miley Cyrus (2013 Song)

Dear Entertainment Diary,

So here's the fourth single off Will.I.Am's 4th studio album, #willpower, featuring our queen, Miley Cyrus, Fall Down. I've been waiting patiently for so long just to hear this song and until now, I still can't believe that it's here! Ermergerd. Hahaha

After lending her great voice to a great song by Snoop Lion, Ashtrays and Heartbreaks, here is another song where she also lends her beautiful voice! I was actually waiting for a song that sounds like Will.I.Am's previous song like Scream & Shout but I was shocked that this song is kind of a far cry from that. The song sounds like Ke$ha's Die Young probably because of the whistle thingies but still rocks and I an dance to it for weeks! Whatever Miley touches, or sings, will turn into GOLD. Real Smiler here and I really can't wait any longer for her official single and fourth album to come out!

Listen to it here:

Grave Encounters 2 (2012 Film)

Dear Entertainment Diary,

OK. So the other day, we watched this movie I downloaded months ago, Grave Encounters 2, which is obviously the sequel to the 2011 horror film, Grave Encounters.

I actually and unbelievably liked the first film which we watched a couple of years ago via web and damn, I was actually got scared and many scenes startled me. After watching it, I actually thought that it was based from a true story because it was so realistically made and there are no unbelievable scenes. I think most of the scenes from the first film are true as I thought they can really happen but to my dismay, Grave Encounters 2 made me feel the opposite.

The first 20-40 minutes of the film is so boring and the supernatural scenes, although almost perfectly made, are very unbelievable and unrealistic which made me hate the film. It didn't have the idea which can be found in its predecessor.

I just wish they stick the blueprints they used in the first film. Oh, and some acting are actually bad, actually.

PLOT:
Alex Wright is a film student who got obsessed to the film, Grave Encounters. He believes that the film is actually true and search for clues and evidences to prove it. He then interviewed the producer of the first film, who didn't know that he was being recorded by Alex, and admits that the whole crew that appeared in the first film gone missing and never returned. Because of this,  he wanted to make a film about it, which he wanted to serve as a sequel. What they thought would be as easy as pie investigation actually turned worst as they were killed one by one and manipulated by the ghosts inside the hospital for the sake of finishing the film. #DeathAwaits
Cast: (source: Wikipedia)

Richard Harmon as Alex Wright, a university student and filmmaker who becomes obsessed with the previous film.
Leanne Lapp as Jennifer Parker, a fellow student who is in love with Alex.
Sean Rogerson as Lance Preston, having survived, he has gone insane after being trapped in the hospital for nine years.
Dylan Playfair as Trevor Thompson, Alex's best friend and cameraman.
Stephanie Bennett as Tessa Hamill, Jennifer's friend.
Howie Lai as Jared Lee, Alex's second cameraman.
Sean Tyson as the guard stationed at the hospital.
Ben Wilkinson as Jerry Hartfield.
Arthur Corber as Dr. Friedkin.
Brenda McDonald as Mrs. Rogerson.
Collin Minihan & Stuart Ortiz as The Vicious Brothers.

There are many unrealistic scenes in this film including the part where they are being chased by a giant ghost, the part where they are n the elevator of the hotel then suddenly got back in the hospital when the elevator door opened. The part where there is a black hole kind of thingy sucking them up The part where a person lived for 10 years just by eating rats and his body is still physically fit. And the list still goes on. Watch it if you want but I wished I passed.
